De andere kant/ The other side

Begin januari postte ik mijn blikje, gemaakt voor de januari- challenge van Art Journey. (klik hier om het blikje te zien)
De andere zijde had ik nog niet laten zien, maar hier is-tie:
Early january I posted the tin I decorated for the Art Journey january challenge. (click here to see the tin in the blog post)
I haven't shown the other side of the tin yet, so here it is:

Ik gebruikte dezelfde stempel als op de andere kant, maar nu als "foto-strip".
I used the same stamp as on the other side, but now as "photo strip".

 De metalen onderdelen geven het geheel een steampunk uitstraling.
The metal embellishments add all to the steampunk feel of the tin.

De vlekken op de klok zijn een klein ongelukje, dat goed uitpakte ;). Er sijpelde wat water door de Crackle Accents, toen ik de Vintage Photo inkt van de lijm afveegde.
The stains on the clock are a little happy accident ;). A bit of water seeped through the Crackle Accents, when wiping off the excess of the Vintage Photo ink.

Art Journey Challenge # 31: Neutrale kleuren/Neutral Colours

Een nieuwe maand betekent op de Art Journey designteam blog een nieuwe challenge, nummer 31 al weer. Deze maand heeft Hillie het thema bedacht: gebruik neutrale kleuren: bruintinten en een beetje zwart en wit. En natuurlijk Art Journey-stempels! Het designteam heeft weer mooie voorbeelden gemaakt en we vinden het leuk om weer veel mooie inzendingen te zien!

Deze boekenlegger in collagestijl. De vliegenier is gestempeld, ge-embossed, uitgeknipt en opgeplakt.

This bookmark in collage style. The pilot was stamped on a separate piece of paper, heat embossed, cut out and added.

Voor een kaarten-swap maakte ik deze set kaarten. De opdracht was: Hero Arts.

Verjaardagspost/ Birthday mail

Vorige week was ik jarig en ik kreeg heel veel handgestempelde kaarten, met name (maar niet alleen) van de leden van de kaartenswap. Ik wil iedereen die me een mooie kaart heeft gestuurd dan ook hartelijk bedanken!
It was my birthday last week, and I received lots of hand stamped cards. Many (but not all) are from the swap group I'm in. Thank you all for the lovely cards!

Meer inchies

Ik ben in de ban van de inchies, naar aanleiding van de leuke challenge bij Art Journey deze maand (klik hier voor de blog met de info). Voor een jarige buurtgenote maakte ik deze inchies kaart, met lekkere felle kleuren. Op twee inchies kun je de leeftijd van de jarige zien. Het is geëmbossed met de Bingo embossing folder van TH. Ik gebruikte Dylusions inkt voor de kleuren

I'm into inchies, thanks to the Art Journey challenge this month: Inchies. For a neighbour I made this card in bright colours. On two of the inchies you can see her age, I embossed it with the Bingo embossing folder by TH. I used Dylusions inks for the bright colours.

Art Journey challenge # 30 Inchies

Een nieuwe maand betekent ook een nieuwe Art Journey challenge. Corine koos het thema "inchies" : gebruik minimaal drie inchies op je project en natuurlijk Art Journey-stempels. Tot 26 februari kun je je nieuwe kaart/project aanmelden via de blog van het Art Journey designteam. Hier zie je ook inspirerende voorbeelden van de designteamleden. En wellicht win je met je inzending een tegoedbon van € 10,-!

Ik maakte kaarten volgens de serendipity techniek: ik kleurde het papier, stempelde het vol met diverse stempels, sneed dit in kleine stukjes (inchies) en plakte het geheel op een zwarte mat.

I made some cards using the serendipity technique: I inked and stamped on a sheet of paper, cut it into inchies and glued it together again on a piece of black card.

Voor deze kaart gebruikte ik distress inkt Wild honey en Victorian velvet om te sponsen. Ik stempelde in zwart en met de distress inkten voor wat meer diepte.

I sponged a background with distress inks Wild honey and Victorian velvet. I stamped in black and with the distress inks to create some depth.

Voor deze brede kaart kleurde ik wit papier met Dylusions spray inkten in rose, blauw en geel, stempelde in zwart en donkerblauw.

For this wide card I used Dylusions spray inks in pink, blue and yellow to colour my card, I stamped in black and dark blue.

Music

Voor een swap  met als opdracht muziek maakte ik onderstaande kaarten. De template damask (van  Crafters Workshop) heb ik sinds kort en ik vind hem prachtig!

For a swap with a music theme I created these cards. I love my new template damask (from Crafters Workshop).

De roos heb ik drie maal gestempeld en 3d opgeplakt.
I stamped the rose three time and made it 3d.

Ben benieuwd welke kaarten ik retour krijg. Het is altijd leuk om handgestempelde kaarten te krijgen, nietwaar?.
I'm excited to find out what cards I will receive. It's always nice to get hand stamped cards, don't you agree?.
