Kerstkaarten/ Christmas cards

Mijn voorraadje kerstkaarten groeit gestaag. Ik maak altijd diverse kaarten in kleine oplage. Sommige zijn erg bewerkelijk, zoals deze met de sneeuwpop.

My pile of christmas cards is growing steadily. I always make series of cards in small numbers. Some take some more work to make, like these snowman cards.

Anderen zijn zó klaar, zoals deze sneeuwpop-kaarten hieronder. Het drogen van de glitterlijm duurt nog het langst. De stempel is van Penny Black, ik kocht hem onlangs, ook al is het een oudje. Ik vind het een schatje.

Others are very quick to make, like these snowman-cards below. The drying of the gliter glue is the most time consuming. I love this Penny Black stamp I bought recently.

En natuurlijk kaarten die er vwb tijd er tussenin zitten. De vogel is van Lost Coast Designs, alle achtergrondstempels van Art Journey.

And of coarse cards that are in between regarding the time it takes to make them. The bird is a stamp from Lost Coast Designs, all background stamps from Art Journey.

Aan alle kaarten werk ik met heel veel plezier. Ik streef ernaar dat iedereen een zelfgemaakte kaart krijgt, en dat gaat ook vast weer lukken dit jaar. Ik ga weer gauw aan de slag met mijn kerstkaarten, tot gauw! Bedankt voor je bezoekje!

AJC #74 Nature/Natuur

Ik maakte een A5 kaart voor deze challenge.
I made an A5 card for this challenge.

Gestempeld met lichte kleuren distress inkt en ingekleurd met brusho, inktense potloden en distress inkt.
Stamped with light distress inks, coloured with brushos, inktense penils and distress inks.

Hier kun je goed de lijnen van de stempel zien, gestempeld met roze en groene distress inkt.

Step by step tag

Een tijdje geleden maakte ik deze tag voor de Artistic Stamper challenge. Ik beloofde enkele facebook-volgers om er een stap-voor-stap van te laten zien. Nou, hier is-ie dan.

Some time ago I made this tag for the Artistic Stamper challenge. I promised some facebook-followers to make a step by step tutorial. Here it comes.

Stap 1: scheur boekpapier en plak op je tag, knip af langs de randen.
Step 1: tear pieces of book pages and glue onto your tag. Cut away along the edges.

Stap 2: spons in kleuren naar keuze. Ik gebruikte distress inkt Spiced Marmelade en Rusty Hinge.
Step 2: sponge in colours of your choice. I used distress inks Spiced Marmelade en Rusty Hinge.

Stap 3: stempel achtergrond en spons door een stencil met de donkerste kleur.
Step 3: stamp background and sponge through a stencil in the darkest colour.

Stap 4: stempel met Stazon Ganache de afbeeldingen.
Step 4: stamp the main images with Stazon Ganache.

Stap 5: stempel de blaadjes langs de rand en de tekst op een restje papier en knip uit. Inkt alle randjes
Step 5: stamp the leaves along the edge and the text on a piece of paper and cut out. Ink all edges.

Stap 6: plak op bijpassend gekleurd cardstock.
Step 6: glue onto matching cardstock.

Stempels: Artistic Stamper (achtergrond-klokken, blaadjes en dame) en Art Journey (druppels en tekst)

Stamps: Artistic Stamper (background clocks, leaves and lady) and Art Journey (waterdrops and text)

Kleine helpers

Dat in Exloo kabouters wonen, wist je misschien al. Het dorp is mede bekend door "Kabouterland". Minder bekend is dat deze kleine wezentjes erg creatief zijn. Soms komen ze 's avonds langs om gezellig samen met mij te stempelen. Op één van deze avonden heb ik ze via deze kaart vereeuwigd.

These little people live a bit further up the road in the village where I live. They live in a little theme park called "Kabouterland". They are very creative creatures and sometimes they come and visit me to craft and stamp together. On one of those nights I made this card for them.

Het is een éénlaags stempelwerk geworden. Zodra alles gestempeld en ingekleurd was, heb ik alle delen afgeplakt of met maskeervloeistof bedekt en heb ik met een zachte Clarity kwast de distress-inkt op de achtergrond aangebracht. Met zo'n kwast kun je prachtige zachte achtergrond maken zonder al te veel moeite.

It is a one layer card. When all was stamped and coloured I masked all images with paper or masking fluid. With a soft Clarity brush I added the distress ink background. It is so easy o make beautiful backgrounds this way.

Our House on a canvas

Al een tijdje had ik een canvas (30 x 30 cm) op mijn werktafel liggen. Het werd de hoogste tijd om er wat mee te doen. Ik stempelde, knipte, plakte en kleurde met dit als resultaat:

I had this canvas (30 x 30 cm) on my work table for a while now. It was about time to use it. I stamped, cut, glued and coloured and this is the result:

Dit canvas doet mee in de Artistic Stamper's July challenge: All Things Bright and Beautiful. Het is wel bright, maar is het ook beautiful? Dat laat ik aan jullie.
