Tons of fun

Vandaag een eenvoudige kaart voor een lief meisje. Het is heerlijk om zo'n afbeelding in te kleuren en er dan een kaart mee te maken. Deze doet mee bij de challenge van Knutsels en Kadootjes. Ik zeg al heel lang dat ik eens mee doe, en nu is het dan eindelijk gelukt. Op het nippertje. :)

Confetti card

Weer een projectje met stencils en stempels vandaag. Of eigenlijk één stencil. Op het Pronty Crafts Creators blog kun je stap voor stap zien hoe ik onderstaande kaart maakte. Je kunt daar ook nog meerdere kaarten zien met deze techniek.

Het meisje op de schommel is een nieuwe stempel van Art Journey. Ze heeft het erg naar de zin in de confetti-bui.

The girl on the swing is one of a new stamp set by Art Journey. I think she is enjoying herself in the confetti snow.

Colourful jungle

AJC # 88: In de tuin/ In the garden

Een nieuwe maand en dus een nieuwe Art Journey challenge. Deze maand mocht ik het thema aangeven. Hmmm, ik had niet verwacht dat het onder het vriespunt zou zijn in het begin van de lentemaand, dus ik bedacht het thema: In de tuin.

Op het Art Journey-blog (klik) kun je meer mooie voorbeelden zien en ook de kleine lettertjes waaraan je kaart moet voldoen. Doe mee en laat zien wat er in jóuw tuin zit!

A new month again and also a new Art Journey challenge. It was my turn to come up with a theme. Hmm, I didn't expect it was going to be freezing at the start of spring, so my theme is: In the garden.

AJC#87 Paars / Purple

We gaan bij Art Journey weer een nieuwe challenge beginnen, zoals elke maand. Alleen is het deze maand een bijzondere challenge. Het is deze maand nl een jaar geleden dat Jeanette Blok, ons stempelmaatje en designteamlid overleed. Haar lievelingskleur was paars, vandaar dat Louise dat als thema voor deze maand koos. Een mooie ode aan Jeanette, vind je niet?

We are going to start a new challenge over at the Art Journey designteam blog, as every month. But this month will be a bit special, as this month a year ago our dear stamping friend and design team member Jeanette Blok passed away. Her favorite colour was purple, so Louise chose that as the theme, as an ode to Jeanette.

This is my ode to Jeanette, triple inspired by her:

Niet alleen de kleur paars doen aan haar denken, maar ook het thema van de kaart (Jeanette hield enorm van wandelen) en de stempels zelf (ze heeft de foto's gemaakt op basis waarvan de stempels "Ben's Boots" zijn gemaakt en daar was ik bij, die grote schoenen op de witte tafel).

Not only the colour purple remind me of her, but also the the subject of the card (Jeanette loved walking/hiking) and the stamps themselves (she made the pictures that were the start of this stamp set "Ben's Boots" and I was there when she took the pictures, those big boots on the white table).

Drieluik kaart

Voor Pronty maakte ik onlangs weer een foto-tutorial. Het werd een drieluik, waarbij ik gebruik maakte van een mask-stencil, zwarte gesso, distress oxides, paint markers en een stempel. Hieronder zie je het eindresultaat:

AJC #86: Recycling

Allereerst wens ik je een heel gelukkig 2018, in goede gezondheid en met veel leuke en creatieve momenten.

Ook in 2018 heeft Art Journey weer een maandelijkse challenge. Deze maand is Aletta aan de beurt, zij wil graag dat je iets hergebruikt. Dit kan van alles zijn, zoals je kunt zien bij de voorbeelden op ons designteam-blog.

Dit is mijn voorbeeld voor jullie: dubbelzijdig en gemaakt van een verpakking van karton. Ik gebruikte veel stempelsets, onder de foto's kun je lezen welke.

De huisjes zijn gestansd uit crackerdozen

De little houses were die cut from cracker boxes

 

De achtergronden zijn gemaakt met verf en gesso, opgebracht met een oud pasje. Hier met bruintinten.

The backgrounds are made with paint and gesso, applied with an old savings card. Here I used browns.

 

Hier geruikte ik blauw, oranje en geel voor de achtergrond

Here I used blue, yellow and orange for the background

 

De afbeeldingen zijn gestempeld op tissuepapier (gewoon uit zo'n doos) en met gelmedium opgeplakt.

The images were stamped onto tissue paper and glued with gel medium.
